Pastor Mark Brown Ephesians 6:6 Society currently, is one of "be seen and be heard". Personality is promoted over character. Constant activity is the norm. The culture of Jesus tends to be the opposite of the world. There is great value and power in being alone with God on a daily basis.
Pastor Mark Brown 2 Corinthians 10:3 Ephesians 6:12 The life of a Christian is not passive. Being a Christian requires a spiritual aggression because we are in a battle against our flesh. Prayer is the only way we can suit up for the daily battles we face.
Ephesians 6:19-20 Putting the whole armor of God on is of no use if we don't put it to use. Prayer is the most respected & most neglected. The armor is not for display, it is for the battlefield. We must put on the armor in prayer as we set out into each day. A life without prayer is absent of spiritual victory.
Ephesians 6:12 We should not be continually wrestling our flesh. That should already be crucified. We should be engaged in spiritual warfare, but a growing problem is that many simply "Wrestle Not". Few are wrestling or interceding as they should or at all.
Ephesians 6:17 The pieces of armor we have discuss have a defensive element to them. The Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God is a powerful weapon for us to advance. The Word is not meant to hurt but help.
Ephesians 6:16 The Helmet of Salvation is a guard of our minds, mouths, ears, & eyes. If we leave that unprotected we will be left unsaved.
